Augusta Victoria Hospital, situated in Jerusalem, has for the second time sent two delegations of doctors and nurses and some medical consumables to Gaza City. The medical delegation combines doctors and nurses from the Insider Hospital in Jerusalem and National Najaah University in Nablus, headed by the director of Najaah Hospital, Professor Salim Al-Haaj Yahya. He is a professor emeritus in Bristol University, Britain and one of the international pioneers in heart surgery and research. Walid Namoor, general executive manager of Insider Hospital, explained that “we have sent two doctor and nurse delegations and some medical consumables to Gaza for the second consecutive time.” He explained that the medical delegation has indicated that the situation in Gazan hospitals is tragic and that there is a great shortage in the medical cadre and medical consumables with which to treat the injured. There are tens of injured who still require intensive medical care. Namoor confirmed that they are in constant contact with the medical delegation to know about the latest developments, in conjunction with the administrators of the World Health Organisation in Gaza, and that they are ready to fill any deficiency or need if necessary
