Thirty-two injured sent to Jordan and Egypt for treatment

The Palestinian Health Ministry said that they have sent thirty-two injured during the events of the Great March of Return to acquire treatment in Jordanian and Egyptian hospitals.
Ashraf Qudrah, spokesperson for the ministry, explained that twenty-nine injured were sent to Jordan, and just three injured were sent to Egypt. Qudrah also explained that the injured who were sent had different types of injuries and degrees of seriousness. He drew attention to the fact that the selection of injured to be transferred outside for treatment was done through the advice of the Palestinian medical crew who were attending to the injured. He indicated that it was organised in consultation with the Jordanian doctors through the Jordan Field Hospital in Gaza City.
The injured were transferred to Jordan by Jordanian ambulances through the Beit Hanoun/ Erez border north of Gaza. While the injured were transferred to Egypt through the Rafah crossing south of Gaza. Jordan and Egypt have previously announced their willingness to treat the injured during the Great March of Return. Sixty-five people have been martyred during the March, while more than three thousand have been injured with open wounds.
