Jordanian Medical Delegation in Gaza’s hospitals

Doctors and surgeons of the Jordanian medical delegation who have come to Gaza with the aim of participating in treating the injured in the Great March of Return have expressed their shock at the amount of difficult and complicated injuries they have seen in Gaza’s hospitals. This; coupled with the efforts of the local medical crew in emergency treatment of injures and fulfilling what has to be implemented.
Doctors of the delegation said, during separate meetings with them in Shifa Hospital, that what the medical crew has dealt with in receiving and treating hundreds of difficult explosive fire injuries requires the capabilities of big hospitals and the supplies of entire countries.
The delegation also expressed their disappointment at what they saw in Gaza’s hospitals: severe shortage of medication and medical consumables and the absence of the most basic necessary items to treat injuries and restore wounds.
The Jordanian Medical Delegation which has arrived in Gaza, due to a directive from the honourable Jordanian King Abdullah bin Hussain, includes specialist surgeons in the fields of vascular surgery, orthopaedics and plastic surgery.
