Al-Shifa Hospital honours the British medical team for successfully conducting four kidney transplant operations

The administration of Al-Shifa Hospital honoured the British Medical Team who conducted kidney transplants in the hospital.
During his speech at the honorary ceremony, Dr. Hasan Al-Lawh, the medical Director praised the excellent role played by the British medical delegation headed by Dr. Abdul Qadir Hammad. He also praised the efforts spent in lightening the suffering of kidney failure patients because of tightening of the siege on our people in the Gaza Strip.
Dr. Al-Lawh extended his gratitude to the sponsors and funders of the kidney transplant program. Being at the forefront is the Partners for Medical Aid (South Africa) and their representative company in the Gaza Strip: “Experts for Consultation and Development”, under the supervision and implementation of the Liverpool international transplant initiative.
The medical delegation honoured by Dr. Hasan Al-Lawh, the medical director, Dr. Marwan Abu Sa’dah, the head of surgical department, Dr. Mohammad Zaqut, the head of medical department and other members of the board of directors.
The medical delegation who are specialising in the kidney transplants headed by Dr. Abdul Qadir Hammad arrived in the Gaza Strip last Monday. During which they held four kidney transplants, as part of the 13th stage. This was after completing all medical laboratory investigations and confirming tissue compatibility between the donor and the receiver. In addition to that, they followed up the latest developments regarding the establishment of The National Centre for Kidney Transplants in the Gaza Strip.
